Dashcam and security

This page highlights the hardware used as security on the vehicle.

First there is a dashcam, , which has a forward-facing camera and an RCA input for a second camera.  The second camera is used as a backup cam.  As you may notice in the picture below, there are two cameras.  One is in the light bezel, and the second is mounted next to the license plate.  It is the license plate camera which is used as the reverse camera.

So, why the second camera in the back?  Good question.  I don't know.

Actually it--along with a camera mounted next to the driver's side flood light--is used to record 24/7.  The recordings are made on a 2-channel DVR, although I must admit that the quality of the recorded images is not great.  So, I will look for another option....and add two more button-hole cameras on the interior.  As you can see, the DVR is affixed with Velcro just below one of the T-top strap brackets.

Other security?  There is an alarm system, but that is all I will say about it.
